Fredstersphotos.net: Bio

My interest in photography began with a second hand camera found in a restaurant some 40 years ago.

Throughout the years I have honed my photography skills by always carrying a camera to capture that special sky or sunset as well as taking courses in Adobe Photoshop and a home study program at the New York Institute of Photography. With the development of computers and digital technology, my world really opened up --
the best of both passions were at my disposal. I now strictly photograph with the Canon Mk-lln,Canon 5D and the Canon 30D using a variety of Canon lenses.

I have retired from a 31 year career as a Maintenance Supervisor for the New York City Transit Authority where I was able to utilize my skills photographing the progress of various building and repair projects and heavy construction. It was time to embark on a new venture -- I decided to focus on a lifelong desire and set out to photograph Lighthouses on the East Coast as well as all the beauty nature could offer. I hope by clicking on my work you will become as entranced as I have with the beauty of the sites around us.

To round out the equation, I also matte and frame my work.

ENJOY!
